How to Set Up a New Catalina 22 Fleet Step 1: Identify at least three Catalina 22 owners who want to form a new Catalina 22 fleet. Each Fleet represents a territorial area. There is the possibility that there is an established fleet in your area. If you are not sure, please contact the Rear Commodore of the Catalina 22 National Sailing Association. A Catalina 22 owner may only belong to one fleet at a time. Step 2: Each Catalina 22 owner should complete the USA Membership/Order Form, and submit it to the Secretary/Treasurer of the Catalina 22 National Sailing Association. Annual Dues - $25.00 per person. The mailing address of the Secretary/Treasurer is available on the www.catalina22.org website. Step 3: Identify who will serve as: · Fleet Captain – provides fleet leadership and direction. · Secretary/Treasurer – responsible for managing any monies belonging to the proposed fleet. · Fleet Measurer – responsible for helping the fleet following C22NSA One Design Rules for those fleets that participate in class racing. Note: The Fleet shall be self governing in all local matters not conflicting with the Catalina 22 National Sailing Association Constitution, Bylaws and Specifications, and has the authority to accept or reject application for Fleet membership. As a minimum, the Fleet shall elect a Fleet Captain, a Secretary/Treasurer and Fleet Measurer. Step 4: Complete and submit the Fleet Charter Application form. This form is available on the www.catalina22.org website. Fee – one time charge of $25.00 per fleet. Step 5: Receive your New Fleet Welcome Package from the Rear Commodore that includes a Fleet Handbook, Certificate, and Burgee. Catalina 22 National Sailing Association – Membership Has Its Benefits!
